EFC signs Dooya distribution deal

April 9, 2025

Dooya Media Group has announced the distribution of Extreme Fighting Championship’s (EFC) live monthly events in North America, Europe and most of the globe, on Dooya’s network of FAST and AVoD channels, including on Roku, Amazon, Tubi, Pluto TV, Xumo, TCL and more.

The content available from the South African MMA organisation also includes various highlights shows and two seasons of EFC’s original reality TV series, The Fighter, which searches for new combat talent.

The partnership kicks off on April 10th with EFC 122 live from Johannesburg, South Africa. Two title fights sit atop the EFC 122 card: Heavyweight Champion Anthony ‘Big’ Morel of the Réunion Islands, mounts his first title defence against Elvis Moyo, the Bulawayo Bomber; and Two-time champion from Cape Town, Faeez ‘Troublemaker’ Jacobs also ascends the ramparts for a second chance to retain his belt, this time against Sibusiso ‘Somandla’ Sovendle.

“I was amazed by the quality of the EFC fighters, the production quality and the management team,” commented Kim Hurwitz, EVP, Live Sports & Entertainment at Dooya Media Group. “The roster includes so many exciting prospects and champions, many of them brand new to MMA fans in this hemisphere. Of course, fans know UFC MW champion Dricus du Plessis, now a global MMA superstar, and this is the league where he hails from.”

EFC 122 takes place on April 10th from the World Sports Betting Arena at the EFC Performance Institute in JHB, South Africa from 1pm (EDT), streamed via on Dooya Media Group channels. It can be viewed on select OTT channels that Dooya offers, including: Bolt+ (in the UK), Free Live Sports, Lights Out Sports, FITE by Triller on the Roku Channel, as well as on Unbeaten Sports Channel and Fubo.
