Roy Jones Jr Boxing events on Dooya

April 11, 2025

Dooya Media Group has announced the distribution of Roy Jones Jr Boxing’s live events in North America, the UK and Europe, and most of the globe, on Dooya’s network of FAST and AVoD channels distributed on Roku, Amazon, Tubi, Pluto TV, Xumo, TCL and more.

Kicking off the deal is the Revenge event, headlined by Devontae McDonald vs Shady Gamhour, which takes place on April 11th at 10pm EDT, live from the Pacific Northwest At Legends Casino Hotel in Toppenish, Washington. McDonald was awarded a majority decision win over Gamhour in a ten-round super middleweight bout in December 2024 at Legends Hotel Casino in the Pacific Northwest.

“April 11th is going to be a rematch and a redo of our December fight,” said McDonald. “My boy Shady thought he got robbed and he’s looking for revenge. I put a beating on him then and he’s got another one coming. You’re not going to want to miss it. It’s going to be a showstopper.”

“In the December fight I gave him two rounds, maybe three,” rebutted Gamhour, meaning the rounds he thought McDonald won. “On April 11th, I will return for my revenge. It was a mistake leaving it in the judges’ hands and that won’t happen again.”

Elsewhere on the card, Trainer Roy Jones Jr, formerly recognised as the No. 1 pound-for-pound boxer in the world for the better part of a decade, will be in the corner for four of his fighters on the card. He will also be the broadcast analyst for the complete card.

In the co-main event, Franklyn Dwomoh (7-1, 1 KO) from Hamburg, Germany will battle Sean Brewer (4-2, 3 KOs), for the NBA Continental Jr Lightweight title.

Undefeated and the pride of Central Washington, Andrew Murphy (9-0, 6 KOs) is from nearby Yakima, just a short drive from Legends Casino Hotel. Murphy, fighting for the second time since shoulder surgery, will fight in a six-round super middleweight bout against Virginian Justin Gunter (7-4, 5 KOs).

In a four round heavyweight bout, Darnell Thompson, former Olympic Qualifier semi-finalist from Raleigh, North Carolina, will be making his professional debut against Jalen Davis (1-3, 1 KO) from Sacramento, California.

Opening the show will be a four round welterweight bout between Jose Cervantes (3-1, 3 KOs) and Jeremiah Sierra (2-2, 1 KO).

The four fighters on the card who Jones trains, Gamhour, Dwomo, Murphy and Thompson, are part of the 15-20 prospects in his camp. The gym is on his farm in Pensacola, Florida – the same gym Jones trained in throughout his illustrious career.

“The kids that come to me already have some talent and have a drive to get better,” said Jones. “Every fighter has parts of their game that they excel at. I find what that is – whether it is boxing, power punching, or counterpunching – then make them the best that they can be. I can’t make them into me, of course, but I strive to make them the best version of themselves.” All of the fighters in camp would reiterate that ethos.

“We’ve begun launching live events nearly every week now via our licensed DMG platforms,” added John T. Wells, CEO of Dooya Media Group. “And we are very pleased to launch this boxing rematch packaged by Roy Jones Jr Boxing which showcases his hand-picked prospects. He’s a living legend of the sport.”
