Jonny Brugh to appear at MCM Comic Con in London
April 15, 2025
ReedPop has announced that What We Do in the Shadows star Jonny Brugh will appear at MCM Comic Con at Excel London on May 24th and 25th.
Brugh is best known for his role as Deacon Brücke, the suave and cocky 183-year-old German Vampire currently residing in Wellington, New Zealand in the 2014 cult classic mockumentary film, What We Do in the Shadows. The film went on to spawn a successful television spin off series, in which Brugh’s character had a cameo as a member of the Vampiric Council.
After working with Taika Waititi on What We Do in the Shadows, Brugh has since reunited with the director for an appearance as the god Rapu in Taika’s 2022 film, Thor: Love and Thunder. Most recently, he was cast as Lloyd Kneath, the eccentric head of IT, in the Australian reboot of The Office.
Brugh will be taking part in photo and autograph opportunities purchasable by ticket holders. He will also take to the Live Stage at 2:15pm on May 25th in a dedicated spotlight panel, breaking down the most iconic roles of his career.
Burgh joins the Power Rangers, Sailor Moon and DragonBall Z talent already announced for the event, as well as Patton Oswalt, David Tennant, Nadji Jeter and Stephanie Beatriz. More guests will be announced soon. MCM Comic Con will return to Excel London from May 23rd to 25th.
