Mobland has become the biggest Paramount+ global series launch to date on premiere day, delivering 2.2 million global viewers. The series also generated 9.7 million total views across social media platforms.
“Mobland is a runaway success thanks to the visionary work of Guy, Jez, Ronan and David Glasser and brought to life by the exceptional Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren who transport us into a world audiences clearly cannot get enough of,” commented Chris McCarthy, Paramount Co-CEO and President and CEO, Showtime/MTV Entertainment Studios. “Mobland is yet another proof point for the power of our differentiated model – fewer, bigger, breakthrough series that can cut through the clutter and also builds on our 2024 record success where we finished as the #2 SVoD for original series time spent viewing.”
The new crime series premiered on March 30th, exclusively on Paramount+ in the UK, Canada, the US and Australia. Paramount+ markets including Italy, Germany, France, Latin America and Brazil can watch the series from May 30th.
Mobland stars Tom Hardy, Pierce Brosnan, Helen Mirren, Joanne Froggatt and Paddy Considine in a story about two mob families who clash in a war that threatens to topple empires and lives. The series is executive produced by Guy Ritchie, and created by Ronan Bennett and co-written by Bennett and Jez Butterworth. The series is commissioned by Paramount+, produced in association with MTV Entertainment Studios and 101 Studios and distributed by Paramount Global Content Distribution.
Episode 2 of Mobland is available to stream on Paramount+ from April 6th.
