The Pinkfong Company, the entertainment company behind the hit Baby Shark brand, has signed a strategic business agreement with TBS Television, one of Japan’s five major commercial broadcasters, for joint production and business collaboration.

Through this partnership, The Pinkfong Company and TBS Television will co-develop new and original content aimed at young viewers and their families and caregivers globally, while expanding the presence of Bebefinn, Pinkfong’s hit property, in Japan through distribution, events and other collaborative initiatives.

“This partnership with TBS Television represents a significant milestone in our global expansion strategy,” commented Min-seok Kim, CEO at The Pinkfong Company. “By combining Pinkfong’s expertise in creating and growing premium family IP with TBS’s extensive production and distribution capabilities, we’re poised to deliver fresh, engaging content that resonates with families around the world. Japan is a key strategic market for us, and this collaboration will also help deepen our connection with Japanese audiences.”

“At TBS Television, we’re committed to delivering impactful content that creates tomorrow’s world with the best experiences,” added Masamine Ryuho, President & Representative Director at TBS Television. “This collaboration with The Pinkfong Company aligns perfectly with our VISION2030 strategy focusing on innovative content creation and global expansion. We’re excited to introduce the new original content to Japanese and global audiences in fresh and engaging formats.”

The Pinkfong Company has built remarkable global success with its properties, including Baby Shark, which has garnered over 15.8 billion YouTube views, making it the platform’s most-viewed video worldwide. Their newer property, Bebefinn, has achieved #1 rankings in 11 countries on Netflix and accumulated over 50 million subscribers across its YouTube channels.

Details of the co-developed content will be announced throughout 2025, with the first announcement expected this autumn.
