Anuvu achieves IFC speed boost
April 23, 2025

High-speed inflight connectivity and worldwide entertainment solutions provider Anuvu has upgraded its Dedicated Space platform, saying it drives over a 35 per cent increase in peak speed.
Introduced in 2022, Dedicated Space optimises network performance by dedicating satellite capacity to individual aircraft and passengers, enabling a low-latency and reliable Internet experience. Now, Dedicated Space is implemented on over 800 aircraft across six airline clients within North America and Europe. These Anuvu-equipped aircraft have experienced a 2x increase in download speed, 4x increase in upload capability and over 65 per cent higher availability during satellite and beam changes than Anuvu’s legacy network platform.
Anuvu has also installed the ground segment for the upcoming start of microGEO service which included the next generation of Dedicated Space. With the upgrade, Anuvu has already seen more than one-third increase in peak download speed.
“We’re excited to have such a positive response to the increasing demand for inflight connectivity performance,” declared Mike Pigott, EVP Connectivity at Anuvu. “The results show extremely fast satellite handovers and the lowest latency of any GEO-based SATCOM system, meaning industry-leading performance for our airline’s passengers.”
